The Role

 

Student Success is one of five units within Student Services and is responsible for developing and supporting the delivery of an outstanding and distinctive student experience so that students have a high quality University experience.
 
Working as part of the Student Success Operations team you will support all administrative functions and processes within the unit including finance, HR/people processes, diary support and health and safety.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide operational support across the unit, ensuring that relevant University policies and processes are followed
  • Act as a point of contact for queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide diary management and support for senior managers as directed
  • Assist in the arrangements of meetings involving internal and external stakeholders, including minute taking, booking rooms and arranging catering as required
  • Support finance related activities including but not limited to processing payments, maintaining SAP records, organising deliveries, and responding to queries, adhering to relevant policies and procedures
  • Administer People related processes, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, administering annual leave and absences
  • Work with colleagues to support effective communication across the Student Success Unit. This includes updating membership of and sharing information using Teams sites, mailbases, shared drives and public folder facilities as directed
  • Support health and safety processes and the smooth running of the office e.g. by submitting and monitoring estates and portering requests
  • Assist in the production of information and reports for managers across the unit, as required
  • Other duties may be allocated by the Operations Manager/ Deputy Operations Manager

Qualifications

 

  • Educated to GCSE level with Maths and English grade A-C or equivalent
