The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Integration Analyst to work in the Integration Services team, you will be involved in the design, test and implementation of a variety of diverse enterprise-level data integrations and ensure that they fulfil business needs.
About You
This role requires that you develop a good understanding of the University’s complex data architecture and processes and contribute to the development of clear technical documentation. You should have the skills required to form effective collaborative relationships with diverse teams (technical and non-technical) across the University and beyond. Solid analytical, logical and problem-solving skills and good attention to detail is essential. You will have sound planning and organisational skills and be comfortable working on multiple projects at once.
To be successful you will take responsibility for your own work, seeking and accepting help and guidance where necessary. You must also be willing to contribute to the success of the team through sharing your knowledge and experience and providing cover and support.
We are looking for someone who will aid the growth and development of the University's integration platform, therefore you must be proactive, enthusiastic and willing to learn and implement new technologies.
Experience in one or more of the following is sought: ETL tools (e.g., Talend), SQL, ESB, event-driven integrations, web services, JSON or XML, database design and configuration, Azure API Management, Azure ASB. However, a good attitude and the willingness and demonstrable aptitude to learn the required technical skills is also highly valued.

This role assists with the support and management of all integration services and platforms to the University. It acts as subject matter expert (SME) for the area, as well as delivering excellent operational support and proactive measurement and monitoring of services.
Key Accountabilities
- Design and develop data integration and process automation solutions between a diverse range of University IT systems to deliver consistent, accurate and timely provisioning of data and increase efficiency for customers across the University
- Support and maintain existing integrations to ensure on-going accuracy and reliability of integrations within the changing University landscape
- Design and maintain a reusable data platform through data warehousing and database design techniques for use by the Institutional Data Feed Service (IDFS) or other equivalent technologies used now or in the future
- Analyse University business processes and customer needs and provide advice and guidance to customers in order to tease out and understand non-technical requirements. Translate these into technical requirements and engage and negotiate with
- system and data owners in order to create technical solutions to business processes problems
- Perform system administration and support on a variety of systems including: Windows Server, Linux, Shibboleth, Grouper, Talend, MySQL and MariaDB to ensure a consistent and reliable level of service
- Install and configure third party applications used to provide the IDFS, login gateway and group management services
- Operate all necessary proactive and reactive measures in place to ensure service continuity and effectiveness
- Ensure any issues are escalated efficiently and ensure management is aware of any issues and the consequences thereof
- To assist senior management and other teams within NUIT and elsewhere in the University in the procurement of integration services and platforms across all NUIT supported applications
- Act as an integration SME and use this knowledge to deliver excellence in operational support, project and change delivery and help in defining the future strategy
- Understand the Technology Roadmap and assist in its implementation as directed
- Deliver any project or change related activity as part of wider NUIT or NU project teams as required
- Ensure that policies, standards, procedures and guidelines are followed
- Any other reasonable duties that fall within the scope of the post, as allocated by the line manager

- Experience of working in Integration Services team in a similar size and complexity organisation
- Technical background in the Integration Services technologies used by NUIT
- Experience of working with third party vendors and delivering an effective integration service using their services
- Interest in identifying and implementing new and innovative technologies to support customer needs, drive up quality and improve value
- A working knowledge of Cybersecurity processes and practices is essential
- Experience of working with multiple support and resolver groups across a wide variety of technologies
- Able to demonstrate focus on customer needs
