The Role 

 

Within the Governance and Operations Team of the IT Service, the Governance Officer plays a key role in facilitating and overseeing governance activities. This role ensures robust planning and risk management to support NUIT operations effectively. 

Proven expertise in curating and managing service-wide policies, procedures, and standards, along with a proactive approach to risk management, is essential to enabling the IT service to operate efficiently and securely. 

 

About you 

 

We are seeking an IT Governance professional with a broad understanding of IT services and technical environments. To succeed in this role, you should possess: 

 

  • Experience in the curation and management of governance materials (policies, procedures and standards). 

  • Practical experience of the management and application of governance processes in an IT context, e.g. COBIT, ITIL. 

  • Outstanding influencing and communication skills. 

  • Experience of best practice risk management approaches and methodologies.
