The Role

 

Addressing real industry challenges with tailored cutting edge Edge AI solutions, this is not just a concept, but the vision behind the collaborative strategic initiative that is the National Edge AI Hub.
Your role as Hub Manager will play a pivotal position in the day-to-day delivery of the project, along with strategic management and focus to expand and accelerate the programmes reach.


To be successful in this role you should have demonstrable experience of commercial enterprise, and exceptional leadership qualities. You will be able to present with passion the clear vision the drive behind the Hub and take a key role in promotion and business development in order to drive further investment and empower businesses with innovative technologies. As Hub Manager you will work as part of a team, with ambitious passion and aptitude for key areas such as Smart solutions, including cyber disturbances, data quality, IoT, and AI.
This collaborative project aims to support a robust and interconnected AI vision linking researchers, innovators and practioners.


While some travel will be required nationally, there is an expectation of independent hybrid and flexible working in order to fulfil the ambitions of the project.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

Essential
•    Proven experience in senior management with tangible results in industry.
•    Experience of managing complex commercial projects to successful project completion.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of working effectively with academia, industry, and government entities.
•    Senior executive experience of managing at a strategic level. 
•    Strong leadership skills with a track record of problem-solving and decision-making.
•    Experience of financial reporting and budget management.
•    Demonstrate strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate future needs and trends.
•    Robust organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
•    Proven experience of industry engagement both on the national and international front with relevant stakeholders  
•    Experience of developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating processes to ensure continual business improvement.
•    Experience of line managing and developing colleagues.
Desirable
•    Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Edge Computing, and Cyber Security is advantageous.

Qualifications
Essential

•    Educated to degree level (Business, Management, or a related field)
