We are seeking to appoint to the role of Professor of Applied Health Research & Ageing, to join a successful research group, Ageing, health and society, in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, (https://www.ncl.ac.uk/medicalsciences/research/groups/ageinghealth/#overview) which has a broad range of externally funded programmes on ageing and/or the health and wellbeing of older people. 


We are looking for someone with a strong track record in ageing and applied health research, who will lead and contribute to multi-method projects to enhance our portfolio of ageing work. Our work involves the application of a range of methodological techniques to applied research questions within the field of ageing and health / social care. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mixed methods research especially qualitative approaches, an understanding of their application to health services research, and a willingness to work closely with clinicians and academics from other disciplines, such as epidemiologists, human computer interaction researchers, and realists.
