Salary: £30,942.00 - £32,817.00

The role


As a key member of the Finance team in the Faculty of Medial Sciences, you will have responsibility for supporting the financial management of the faculty’s schools and institutes. Working closely with the school and institutes’ leadership teams, the Finance Business Partner will be responsible for supporting the faculty’s strategic and operational activities.

Key Accountabilities


  • The production and financial management of the unit’s annual budget and plans, including regular reporting and reforecasts.
  • The provision of high quality advice and guidance to budget holders.
  • The development and presentation of business cases and financial appraisals.
  • The production and dissemination of high quality management information
  • The provision of effective financial controls and governance

Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • You should have experience of offering a high level of financial support, which should include the analysis of reports and the presentation of performance.
  • Experience in the preparation of detailed annual budgets, plans and quarterly financial forecasts is essential.
  • You should have experience of working effectively and managing teams within a complex financial environment.  
  • You will possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have highly developed IT skills. 
  • As an effective team player, you will be highly motivated and organised, adaptive to change and should display initiative in bringing forward new ideas coupled with a practical approach to problem solving.

  • Significant recent, relevant experience is essential and it is desirable that you are a qualified/part qualified accountant or are educated to degree level in a relevant subject
