The Role
The School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics are looking to appoint a new Education Assistant. You will join a small team who together support students through the student learning life cycle.

Education Assistants provide professional administrative services to ensure the smooth and effective running of the School’s taught programmes. Working as part of the Education Team, you will help to deliver an excellent experience for our customers. You will work with students, academics, Professional Services colleagues, and other key stakeholders.

This is a part time role for 18.5 hours per week (0.5FTE).

Key Accountabilities
- Respond to queries and requests from students and academics quickly and efficiently, signposting onwards where appropriate
- Use University systems to provide, check and update student and education-related data and documentation
- Support education and student-experience related activities, for example student induction and open days
- Co-ordinate and provide administrative support for committees and meetings
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s processes
- Understand and implement relevant policies and procedures

Qualifications
- GCSEs, or equivalent qualifications, including Maths and English at GCSE Level 4 or equivalent or relevant work experience in an administrative or customer service setting are essential
