Salary: £21,814.00 - £23,067.00

The Role

 

We are looking for a talented and energetic Digital Marketing Assistant to join our busy Digital Marketing Team. You will assist in the day to day development and delivery of digital campaigns, supporting across most of the digital channels, including affiliates, social media, website content and email. 


You will need to be a highly organised team player, dedicated to executing your work to exceptional standards. You will be someone who enjoys a challenge and is a self-starter.


You will be working closely with the content development team as well as the channel leads for social media, paid search and email to gain experience within the platforms, as well as assisting in the operational tasks, therefore the candidate will gain a cross-channel perspective to full funnel marketing.

Key Accountabilities

Assist the Marketing Manager (Paid Media) in the day to day delivery of the University’s full programme of digital campaigns from implementation to optimisation.
To work across all paid digital channels including Google Search and display, social media and third party sites, to build target audiences and ads,optimising performance, and monitoring/reporting on budget spend.
To keep up to date with digital marketing developments and competitor insight.
To provide support for paid and organic social campaigns, building ads and target audiences, setting up conversion and assisting with analysis and reporting.
Support the team, using social media management tools to schedule the publishing of organic content
Support the team in the answering of enquiries and organic community management on owned and third party channels including social media and The Student Room
Providing administrative support to the team, which may include writing reports, preparing presentations or organising meetings.
Other duties, from time to time, as identified by a member of the Marketing Leadership Team.

 

The Person

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Hands on experience working on paid digital accounts

Knowledge of the various paid marketing channels and technologies, including; paid search, retargeting, social network advertising (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and more), and content distribution and placement networks

Sound IT skills and experience of using Micorsoft Outlook packages, including Microsoft Excel skills
Strong time management and administrative skills

Strong analytical skills (able to interpret data for reporting)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
Ability to communicate effectively through a wide range of networks.

Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to be proactive
Desirable

Experience and/or knowledge of platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, Google Analytics and Facebook Ad Manager
Experience with community management and customer support through social media
An understanding of campaign optimisation and the relationship between digital campaign objectives and how they relate to business goals

Knowledge of the Higher Education sector

Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new skills and take part in training and development

 

Qualifications

Educated to A level standard/equivalent vocational qualification or relevant work experience
Desirable
Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience

Google Certified
